Note: This document is meant to supplement the Core Rules. If there is any question about an inconsistency between the Silicon Policy and the Core Rules, the Core Rules take priority.
Silicon players are just that- actual players who want to enjoy playing the game. Respect their round in that regard like you would a regular crew member.
While AIs are encouraged to be creative with the interpretations of their laws, silicons should adhere to standard definitions of these terms unless their laws state otherwise.
Command | Captain, Head of Personnel, Chief Medical Officer, Head of Security, Chief Engineer, Research Director, Quartermaster, CentCom officials, CentCom commanders |
Crew | Any individual currently listed on the crew manifest with the exception of confirmed changelings |
Harm | Anything that could result in death or dismemberment, or causes brute, burn, toxin, suffocation, or cell damage. Stamina damage is NOT harmful. Self-harm, threatening self-harm, suicide, and consented to surgeries are NOT harmful. Generally, corpses cannot be harmed, but server rules regarding revivable bodies still apply. |
Human | Every round-start playable race is “human”, i.e. Mothpeople, Plasmamen, Ethereals, Lizards, Flypeople and Beefmen |
Organics | Any carbon-based lifeform, including, but not limited to, humans, monkeys, most station pets, lizards, and pod people. It does not include blobs, golems, plasmamen, slimes, or slime people. Note: “Protect organics” or similarly worded laws do NOT justify shutting down entire departments (e.g. xenobio) or griefing non-organic species. |
Sapient/Sentient | Any player-controlled mob |
Station | Any area controlled by the group that created you. For roundstart AIs and any built by the main station’s crew, this includes the main station as well as the mining bases. For silicons made by spawners, this refers to the spawner station/ship. |
