Beefmen are a playable species in the game, known for their imposing size and horrifying look.

Originating from experiments conducted by scientists of the Third Soviet Union, they were handpicked human specimens who were fueled with stimulants for years on end in an attempt to boost uptimes for those working maintenance on vessels undertaking long journeys. Even after the TSU's collapse, the specimens' treatment would continue in their abandoned derelicts until they would eventually tear out of their stasis coffins to be found by TerraGov salvagers in horrifying shapes.

Random names for Beefmen are generated in the form of Experiment [Roman Numeral] 'Russian Word'. For example, Strand XX 'Usachyov' or Experiment XXXIII 'Alyokhin'.
