Standard operating level. No immediate or clear threat to the station. All departments may carry out work as normal.
Security Staff
- Weapons worn by security are to be hidden and they should wear their basic uniform except in the case of a sudden emergency.
- Security must respect the privacy of crew members and no unauthorized searches are allowed.
- Security is free to remove crew members from areas they lack access to.
Others
- Suit sensors are required to be at least in binary vitals.
- Crew members may freely walk in public areas or areas they have access like their department or maintenance. No lockdowns should be ensued unless a sudden emergency occurs.
- AI/Cyborgs should not secure any area unless they have that department’s Head of Staff approval.
- Engineering should not block or secure any area of the station.
Elevated alert level. There are reports or other proof available to indicate that there is a threat to the station. When a CentCom threat summary is received and printed at communication consoles (happens automatically a few minutes into the shift), the blue alert level is applied.
Security Staff
- The full extent of the armory is allowed to be given out to security personnel if the HoS or Warden determine it is necessary.
- Security may have lethal weapons visible and may use them if necessary.
- Crew members may be randomly searched.
- Security may declare an area as “Security Restricted Area” and request crew to vacate it with probable cause.
Others
- Suit sensors are required to be at least on exact vitals.
- Crew members may freely walk in public areas, but security personnel may announce any area as a “Security Restricted Area” and request you to leave. Failing to comply may result in Insubordination/Dereliction charges, or worse, if necessary.
- AI/Cyborgs may bolt down high secure areas but must inform that department’s head of staff.
- Engineering may block or secure areas of the station with proper approval from the department’s head of staff or security.
Maximum alert level. There is an immediate threat to the station or severe damage. Martial law is in effect.
Security Staff
- Security can raid departments and arrest any crew member deemed a threat to the station.
- Security may declare an area as a threat and shoot any crew member that ignores requests to leave or forcefully enter a “Security Restricted Area”.
Others
- Suit sensors are to be turned to tracking beacons.
- All crew members must remain in their departments as much as possible.
- AI/Cyborgs may bolt down maintenance and airlocks leading to dangerous areas.
The station's self destruct mechanism has been engaged due to overwhelming threat to the station. Martial Law is in effect.
- All orders from heads of staff and security must be followed. Any disobedience is punishable by death.
- All crew members are to evacuate immediately, if possible.
- All personnel must relocate to departures near the shuttle arrival and board it.
- Escape pods are to be left for crew that have any last minute duties and may not have enough time to board the shuttle.
- All personnel are required to assist with evacuation. All crew must be evacuated, regardless of their consciousness.
- Prisoners are to be brought to the secure area of the escape shuttle, except for prisoners who pose a severe threat to the evacuation procedures.
- AI units must be brought to Central Command either in their core or in an InteliCard.
- Mechs and Cyborg units are to be hauled to the escape shuttle for Central Command to inspect.
- Authorizing early shuttle launches is not allowed unless there is an immediate threat to shuttle integrity.
- Security, medical, and command areas of the shuttle should only be occupied by the appropriate staff.
- Crew must follow orders from trained personnel like virologists and medical doctors while a viral outbreak is threatening the crew’s lives.
- Security and engineering staff should prioritize the medical department and it’s staff needs until the viral outbreak is resolved.
- All infected crew are to be isolated in virology or medbay while the medical staff prepares the vaccine.
- Quarantine must be maintained until the viral outbreak is contained and resolved.
¶ Fire, Breach and other Environmental Hazards
- Immediate evacuation of all untrained personnel.
- Crew must follow orders from trained personnel like station engineers and atmospheric technicians while in a hazardous area.
- Fire alarms are to be used to control the hazard and crew should leave disabling these alarms to trained personnel.
- Station engineers and atmospheric technicians are to remove the hazard, restore the atmosphere to safe levels and disable the fire alarms.
- AI/Cyborgs may secure the area to prevent untrained personnel being harmed.
- Command should enable the emergency maintenance access if needed.
- All crew susceptible to radiation should move into the maintenance tunnels.
- Wait for the storm to be over. Report to medbay if you're feeling strange.
- Medical staff should be ready to administer mutadone to the ones who got caught in the storm.
- All crew to move to central parts of the station.
- Command should coordinate and decide which areas need to be prioritized for repairs.
- In case of a department becoming a hazardous area, crew should wait for the engineering staff’s approval to move back in.
- Damage is to be repaired by engineering staff above all other secondary tasks after the meteor storm is over.
- Shuttle must be called if the station becomes unsalvageable or if the crew’s lives are in danger.
¶ Standard Hostile Threats
- First, before any proper action is done against a reported threat on board the station, Command should be sure to confirm their presence without a doubt as one group might try to trick Security into thinking that they are dealing with another threat for their own benefit.
- Command should keep the alert at BLUE by default to prevent the crew from panicking.
- Syndicate traitors are often tasked with stealing high-risk items and assassinations. Forensics work and checking on suspicious crew should be the focus.
- Some Traitors' tasks may lead to the use of Excessive Force toward the station, like shuttle bombing. These are often too hard to stop once they start so precautions are often invaluable.
- Traitors might easily subvert the silicons. Security staff should coordinate with science to keep the silicons in check and deal with it properly if needed.
- Command should keep the alert at BLUE by default to prevent the crew from panicking.
- Security should avoid using mindshield implants as changelings can easily pretend to be officers with one.
- Command and security should keep a close eye on the crew. Changelings might push the crew to fight among themselves and incinerate each other over false accusations.
- Changelings are an ever evolving life form and our methods of testing if the accused is indeed a changeling often fail. Consider that there is no safe Changeling Test and don’t believe any test result.
- If a suspected changeling has been captured by security, they can be safely detained if given BZ internals as the gas will prevent their chemical regeneration. However, this gas will also cause brain damage, so it should not be used in the station’s air distribution pipeline.
- Command should keep the Alert at BLUE by default, to avoid the crew going into Panic.
- If an Heretic achieves his goal and ascends, the RED alert should be triggered and the shuttle should be called.
- Command should raise the Alert to RED as soon as a Nuclear Team is confirmed as all the crew members’ lives are at risk.
- If War is declared, Command should coordinate and decide how the Crew will deal with the situation. Extended access and Weapon distribution need approval from the highest ranking staff as both might lead to unnecessary chaos and violence.
- Security is allowed to use Lethal Force against any crew member that goes Rogue and is threatening the lives of other crew members.
- Crew that wish to be deputized should seek approval and access.
- Crew that are not deputized should prioritize their duties above combat.
- Use of Excessive Force, like explosives, need approval from Command before being used against the Assault Team.
- Command should raise the Alert to RED as soon as a Revolution is confirmed as all the crew members’ lives are at risk.
- Command should coordinate their departments and stay safe.
- Security Staff should coordinate to systematically mindshield the crew until the Leaders are dug out.
- Security Staff should not use lethal force against the crew when possible.
- Cargo should supply the station with mindshield Implants, this removes the brainwashing, protect the crew from conversion and will easily show to the Security Staff who can be trusted.
- Crew should avoid combat, as engaging in it might result in conversion.
- If Command and Security fail to stop the Revolution after a draw out engagement, Command Staff may consider self exile to avoid more unnecessary crew losses.
- Command should raise the Alert to RED as soon as a Cult is confirmed as all the crew members’ lives are at risk.
- Security Staff should not use lethal force against the crew when possible.
- Security should coordinate to secure a steady supply of Holy Water for deconvertions.
- Crew should avoid combat, as engaging in it might result in conversion.
- Command should raise the Alert to RED as soon as the Space Wizard is confirmed as Hostile as all the crew members’ lives are at risk.
- A Hostile Wizard is a threat to all crew members and can be assaulted on sight.
- The Wizard Federation might send an ambassador to the station. If a CentCom announcement is issued, the crew must not antagonize them. However, the Wizard must respect space law while inside the station and should be treated as any crew member by the security staff.
- Prevent infection from spreading to Central Command.
- Crew must follow orders from trained personnel like security and science.
- If the station has been given a Xenomorph egg for research they should be protected as long as they stay contained. Anyone trying to harm the Xenonorphs inside the Xenobiology pen without proper authorization will be committing Grand Sabotage.
- If unable to completely terminate or contain the threat, move all crew to Departures and secure the area while waiting for the Shuttle to evacuate the station.
- If the crew has completely lost the engagement against hostiles, arm and detonate the nuclear fission explosive to ensure their suppression while evacuating any remaining crew to Lavaland if possible.
- Command staff are allowed to coordinate and order use of excessive force to deal with the threat such as plasma flooding and bombing, but cautions should be used when approving this to minimize casualties and damage to the station’s integrity.
- Command should coordinate and plan how each department will deal with the Overmind.
- Command should avoid calling the shuttle. Central Command won’t risk contamination and will prevent the shuttle from leaving the station. However, the docked shuttle may confuse the crew.
- Crew must follow orders from trained personnel in their respective areas while the Overmind threatens the station.
